The Museum is situated in front of the Sforzesco Castle, in an ideal position for visitors to Milan: not only in the centre of the modern city, with its shop-lined streets, close to the fashion district and the famous Brera quarter, but also in the ancient city centre, with its tangle of streets harking back to Roman times, its centuries-old churches and its aristocratic palaces with their hidden courtyards waiting to be discovered, like the Bonacossa Palace, site of the Museum.
