Branca Tower – Milan by the sky

Designed by Gio Ponti, the Branca Tower is considered to be a true work of art, “where modern architecture and new techniques find common ground.” Slender and transparent, a true architectural challenge, it was constructed in record time, just two-and-a-half months in 1933, for the V Triennial Exhibition, together with six large temporary “isolated arches”, designed by Sironi.

Milan thus became the only city in Europe to hold the “International Triennial Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts and Modern Architecture”.
