The roof of Duomo Milan
The Duomo, Milan’s Cathedral, is the most important gothic architectural work in all of Italy. From the rooftop terraces you can have a wonderful view of the city between the famous spires called the guglie. The Duomo also organizes many classical music concerts.
The constructiuon of the Duomo of Milan Italy lasted more than 500 years, until the beginning of 19th century with the completion of the façade decoration.
The cathedral is dedicated to Santa Maria Nascente (Saint Mary Nascent), the patroness of Milan and Milanese people and she is represented by a golded copper statue, on the main spire of Milan’s Duomo, from the late 1774.
A visit to the Roof of Duomo Milan is a must for visitors to Milan. Take the lift up or use the stairs located on the south side of the Cathedral. On the rooftop, along with the guglie, you will also see the famous Madonnina Virgin.
From the the Duomo terraces Milan you will have a beautiful view of Milan and the surrounding area, for example you can see the Sforza Castle Milano , and many more views of the city but also admire the wonderful gothic architecture of the cathedral.
