It is located 50 km away from Milan’s city center, but it is very well connected, with different transport services all travelling between the Terminals and the city center. Here a list of all the transport services, allowing you to choose the one you prefer:

Malpensa Shuttle Bus

The Malpensa Shuttle bus is a quiet and safe way to travel from the Airport to the City. Indeed, Malpensa Shuttle buses connect each 20 minutes Milan Central train station with Malpensa Airport (and viceversa), taking about 50 minutes to get from the Airport to the station. Furthermore, in occasion of fair events, all the Malpensa Shuttle buses stop, on request, at the Milan Fair. The Shuttle bus costs € 10 per journey or € 16 if you buy a return ticket.

Malpensa Express Train

Two train routes connect Terminal 1 to Milan’s center: the Malpensa Express and Trenitalia. The Malpensa Express runs every 20 – 40 minutes and takes approximately 50 minutes to get to the Milan Central Station (and viceversa). It also stops in Milan Cadorna and Milan Porta Garibaldi. A one-way ticket to Milano Centrale or Cadorna costs € 13, a two-ways ticket costs € 20

Taxi

The easiest and most comfortable option is to book a taxi. Being Malpensa quite far away from Milan’s city center, a taxi Is rather expensive. The journey has a fixed price of € 95. If you haven’t had time to book a private transfer online, this is anyway definitely a good option if you are looking for a cozy way to move around. As for private transfer, also a taxi should take approximately 50 minutes to bring you to the city center.
