Located 45 km away from the city center, it is practically as far away as Milan’s major international airport, Malpensa Airport.

There are various ways to get to Milan from Bergamo Airport:

Orio Shuttle Bus

A cheap and easy way that connects the city of Milan in its three focal points: the Central Station, the Rho exhibition center and Malpensa airport. Orio Shuttle buses run approximately every 30 minutes between 3 am and 12 am (midnight) rom Monday to Sunday. If you are interested to go to Milan central station, the price of a single ticket is € 12.

Train

Bergamo Airport doesn’t have an internal railway station. Visitors that wish to take a train will therefore need to first take a bus from the Airport to Bergamo train station, and then from there to Milan. This is definitely the most complicated way of getting to Milan’s city center, but it gives you the opportunity to stop in Bergamo’s city center and visit it, if you have time.

Taxi

The most comfortable way of reaching Milan is to book a taxi. Being Bergamo quite far away from Milan, a taxi from Bergamo Airport to Milan city center is over € 100. It is still a very hassle-free way to get to the city center, but the travel’s time to destination can vary a lot depending on traffic conditions. With normal traffic conditions, a taxi takes about 50 minutes to go from Bergamo Airport to Milan’s city center.
